IMU CET explained for students and parents
IMU CET is conducted by Indian Maritime University. For most Plus Two PCM students it is the first step to a career at sea.
Families usually need two things explained together: how the exam works, and which sea-going courses it opens.
Preparation is more than a set of notes. Students need timed mock tests, a review after each one, and someone who tracks their progress. Parents need clear answers on medical standards and fees before admission.
IMU CET is a milestone, not the destination. After the exam come company tests and interviews, or college interviews. We prepare you for those too.

How do live online classes work?
You join from home, anywhere in India. Classes are live, so you can ask questions as you go. Every mock test is reviewed with you, and parents get regular reports.
How do I join?
Check your eligibility. Apply for NEST, our IMU CET model test. If you are shortlisted, attend an interview and counselling session with a parent or guardian. Fee concessions are given purely on merit.
Do you help with sponsorship interviews?
Yes. We have company-specific exam and interview modules for DNS sponsorship with companies such as Maersk, MSC, Anglo-Eastern, Fleet Management, Bernhard Schulte and Synergy. We also have college-specific modules for B.Sc Nautical Science and B.Tech Marine Engineering. Selection rests with the company.
Can parents talk to you before we join?
Yes. At least one parent or guardian attends the interview and counselling session. You can ask about fees, safety, training and life at sea. You can also call +91 77365 22210 before that.
