For Class 12 PCM students — Physics, Chemistry, Maths · age 17 to 25 (relaxations apply) · girls and boys. Not PCM? This path is not open to you.
Admission to NavPath is earned, not bought. Every applicant clears the eligibility criteria, sits NEST — our IMU CET model test — and, if shortlisted, attends an interview and counselling session with a parent or guardian. Deserving candidates receive a fee concession purely on merit.

Deserving candidates are given a fee concession, purely on merit, based on performance in NEST and the selection interview.
A parent or guardian in the room
At least one parent or guardian responsible for the student must attend the counselling session. A merchant-navy career is a family decision, and parents should hear everything first-hand.

Every applicant first clears the published IMU CET criteria: Class 12 PCM marks, English marks, age and colour vision. The online checker takes two minutes.

Shortlist
Candidates are shortlisted on NEST performance.
Interview and counselling
Shortlisted candidates attend a selection interview and a counselling session. At least one parent or guardian responsible for the student must be present.
Admission
Students who clear the counselling session are granted admission. Deserving candidates receive a fee concession, purely on merit — based on NEST performance and the selection interview.

Who can apply for NEST?
Any applicant who clears the eligibility criteria: Class 12 PCM — Physics, Chemistry and Maths — with the required English marks, age and colour vision.

Yes, for deserving candidates, purely on merit — based on performance in NEST and the selection interview.
Does a parent have to attend?
Yes. At least one parent or guardian responsible for the student must be present for the counselling session.
Is admission automatic once I pay?
No. Admission is granted to students who clear the counselling session.
